Region 7 has a name now:  ANTLER RIVER WATERSHED REGION

  • A name can give description to the character of an organization.
  • It can capture perspective of present reality.
  • It can identify attributes of the present and offer direction and vision for the future.

In our work as the Region 7 Transition Commission we have been praying about what an appropriate name could be for our region moving forward. We felt the need not to be known just as “Region 7”. After much discernment, discussion and prayer, we have determined a name for our Region in our journey ahead. We are excited and honoured to share with you that effective January 1, 2019, our previous Region 7 will be known as:  Antler River Watershed Region

We are indebted to Grafton and Eileen Antone for sharing with us that the Thames River is referred to as "Antler River" by many Indigenous communities. We felt the watershed was a definitive and bonding factor that was shared by our geographical region.

Chair, Transition Commission,

Our Mission Statement

The purpose of Middlesex Presbytery is to awaken its people and congregations to the message of the Scriptures, and to encourage them through support and compassionate oversight, to fulfil their Christian ministry in the world, as revealed in the words and life of Jesus.

Middlesex Presbytery serves the geographic area of Middlesex County. In one word, it is DIVERSE. There are 37 Pastoral Charges in Middlesex Presbytery

All persons of the Order of Ministry and Designated Lay Ministers are members of Presbytery. Lay members represent the following constituencies: elected representatives from Pastoral Charges (one for every 100 members to a maximum of four representatives) and from Middlesex Presbyterial U.C.W., and ten members-at-large appointed by the Presbytery. Pastoral Charges are encouraged to elect Alternate Lay Delegates to ensure representation at the meeting of Presbytery and its Divisions.

Guide to Active Membership:  Updated in June 2012, this Guide explains how Middlesex Presbytery works - Our Structure and the Role of Presbytery Representatives.
